14-Year Anniversary!

Today is officially our 14th Birthday as Little Kitchen and Bedroom Company! 🥳🎉 It's been an exciting journey so far, and people often ask, "how did it all start?" Well... 📖
I was working for an existing kitchen company that wasn't going to make it, and a family friend, who was getting a new kitchen, asked if I could help out.
From there, I looked at setting up on my own as a business, but had no tools or capital to get started properly!

But I was essentially (and lovingly) press-ganged by customers and old contacts to partner up with Rob, who had recently set himself up as a joiner and was tied up on a project, to work together on this kitchen, and then another, and another. Over the years, I studied each job I did and built upon it.

...and here we are! Investing in the right tools, the right approach and a passionate dedication to what I do, and meeting (often exceeding) customer expectations.

It took a while to trust others to carry out the work to my standards, but I work with a superb team who I can rely on to get the job done right.

Investing in our showroom was a big decision, and it provides a unique space for customers to see and try out elements of their new kitchen before we get started.

An old friend and business owner once told me "stay small", don't get too big, and I work to that sentiment. Every project we work on is personal, and special. Every customer gets our undivided attention.

I love the whole design process, and working with the client is the part of the job that makes it all worthwhile. When hours and hours in the office and emails back and forth come to fruition, we finish a kitchen and the client remarks "it's changed our life", I know it's all worth it.

So that's a little story for Little Kitchen and Bedroom Company as we celebrate 14 years.
There's a lot of work involved in what I do, and will definitely be looking at bringing someone in to help in the future! Thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey so far. 🤗
